If you’re new to riding or new to the area, you may be wondering how to get connected with other like-minded cyclists in Savannah. We’ve pulled together a few references for you to check out!
If you’re interested in longer distance rides, the Coastal Bicycle Touring Club (CBTC) always welcomes new riders. Check out their Wednesday Slow Roll leaving the Sentient Bean on Park Avenue each Wednesday at 8:30 AM. It’s a moderately paced ride of about 30 miles through Gordonston, Thunderbolt and Isle of Hope. There’s also a new Sunday evening trail ride leaving from Lake Mayer on Sunday evenings. Maybe you’d just like an easy, family-friendly pace to see a new area. If so, join Bike Walk Savannah for our monthly Cycle Social. You’ll practice safe cycling skills and get to know other folks who just like to roll. Sometimes we’re in town, sometimes we ride on the trail, sometimes even on the beach! Another fun group of bicyclists is the Savannah Bicycle Club who organize Scavenger Hunts and Critical Mass rides. Check them out on Instagram @bikeclubsav
