If you’re an experienced commuter or recreational cyclist, but want to try riding for longer distances, our next Bike Curious ride on May 17 could be just the ticket.
The ride leaves from Savannah Bicycle Campaign headquarters (1301 Lincoln St) at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 17.
The ride route will include Montgomery, Beaulieu and Burnside Island. The total distance will be approximately 28 miles and the average speed around 15 m.p.h.
Because of the distance and pace of this ride, helmets are required. In addition, it is strongly recommended that participants use a road bike and bring water, equipment to change a tire, cash and valid ID.

Can you add the linear park in Mansfield? Nice paved paths to bike through, connecting three city parks. Mostly smooth riding, but one section also climbs “Red Bluff,” a pretty steep hill that, at one time, was a central part of Mansfield’s pioneer history. you’re sharing them with pedestrains, bladers, runners, dogs, and strollers. I hope that this gets connected to other parts of the regional Veloweb soon! As more trails get built, connectivity becomes the really big issue — the elephant in the room!
