Thanks to your support, we have made significant progress in making Savannah better for bicycling. With your help we have:
- Worked with our partners at Healthy Savannah on the passage of the City of Savannah’s new Complete Streets ordinance, which will yield benefits for years to come.
- Refurbished more than 100 bicycles for deserving children and adults through our New Standard Cycles program.
- Provided valet parking for bicycles to encourage people to ride their bikes to concerts, festivals, film screenings and other events.
- Served as a strong voice for better bicycle infrastructure with city, county, regional and state officials, including support for the U.S. Highway 80 bridge replacement plan, the Truman Linear Park Trail and the Coastal Georgia Greenway.
- Provided education programs for children and adults and produced safety campaigns aimed at bicyclists and drivers.
- Offered a full calendar of events including monthly Cycle Socials, National Bike Month events, Midnight Garden Ride, Matt’s Moon River Cruise and Cranskgiving.
We need your help to make 2016 even better. We want to expand the number of people served by our New Standard Cycles program, make sure the Complete Streets ordinance is consistently implemented, and offer even more bicycle education programs and fun bicycling events.
