Battle of the Bikes 4
Join us at PERC Coffee Roasters. on Friday, Dec. 7 for Battle of the Bikes 4! See who will win the annual bicycle repair olympics! We’ll have teams of mechanics from local bike shops in a relay race, where each team has a given number of kids bikes to refurbish and see who can complete the repairs first. All reconditioned bikes will be given to deserving children through our partnership with Blessings In A Bookbag, Inc. The event is free for SBC members. Suggested donation is $5 for nonmembers. The Prowl Food Truck will be on the scene!
Holiday Bike Drive 2018
Our New Standard Cycles program is seeking donations of children’s bikes for our annual Holiday Bike Drive in conjunction with Blessings in a Book Bag. After volunteers recondition the bicycles, they will be given to deserving children selected by Blessings in a Bookbag on Dec. 16.
We have a limited amount of time to refurbish the bikes, so badly damaged bikes cannot be accepted. We can handle a little dust, but not lots of rust. Want to help us refurbish the bikes? Sign up here.
Bikes can be dropped off at 1301 Lincoln St on the following days and times:
- Thursday, Dec. 13 from 9:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
- Other times by appointment by emailing bikes@bicyclecampaign.org.
