How often do you ride your bicycle? How many bicycles do you own? What are your favorite and least favorite routes? What can be done to make Savannah and Chatham County better for bicycling? We need to know what you think. Please take a moment to complete the online survey located here. Your answers — which we hope are more relevant than the ones on the big board pictured above — will help us prioritize our advocacy efforts. Don’t forget to answer the questions at the end, which help us determine how well we’ve communicated with you about what your Savannah Bicycle Campaign has been doing. Get started right away!

Here are the answers to your basic questions: I own and operate 2 triathlon bikes, 1 mountain bike, 1 cyclecross (regular ten speed(which is my daily commuter)). I ride everyday, everywhere I go. I do own a car and a truck but since moving to Savannah on Dec 29, 2010 I bike everywhere instead. So yes, I am a newby to the Savannah Area.
I am impressed with the Savannah people as I have probably ridden about 60 miles in the last 3 days and had only 1 instance where there was a not-so-nice driver. He just happened top be a dump truck.
I have done some research on bicycle routes and paths in Savannah and have noticed the “what is” to “what is propsed” ratio and am inquiring on any type of completion date. there is only about 10% of what is proposed and would like to become a member of any group that is pushing to get this done. I am training to do every triathlon this summer I can and will continue to ride everyday, everywhere, and get as many people to join me as I can. I am starting a movement in the AASU college community where I am a full time student. As a 36 yr old disabled veteran I have some pull and already have a few people that have started riding with me.
Thats get this rolling, we need more routes and and activities to help promote cycling.
thank you for you ear in this. Please contact me at my email address with any suggestions on how I can help and become a member of any group ready and willing to promote a SAFER and HEALTHIER savannah.
