UPDATE: Due to the high probability of rain returning to the area later this afternoon and the potential for deteriorating road conditions, we are canceling the Earth Day Wheelie Ride.

However, the Wheelie Dealie party will go on at 4 p.m. at Blowin’ Smoke Southern Cantina. Please join us there.

Join us for the Seventh Annual Savannah Earth Day Wheelie Bike Ride on Saturday, April 19. The free, family-friendly, police-escorted ride is part of the City of Savannah’s Earth Day Festival and will depart from the south end of Forsyth Park at 3 p.m. An after‐ride party, the Post Wheelie Dealie, will be held at Blowin’ Smoke Southern Cantina, 1611 Habersham St.

Earth Day FestivalThis is the first group ride organized after the Savannah Bicycle Campaign’s founding and it remains one of its most popular events. The police‐escorted ride through some of Savannah’s most picturesque historic neighborhoods will emphasize the fun and benefits of bicycling in Savannah.

The Earth Day Wheelie is an event that people look forward to all year long. It emphasizes the environmental benefits of bicycling and allows people of all ages to explore our city by bicycle.

During the Earth Day Festival, the Savannah Bicycle Campaign will also present a Sustainable Living Workshop at 11 a.m.

As with all Savannah Bicycle Campaign Wheelie rides, helmets are strongly encouraged for adults and required for bicyclists under 16.
