  1. I wanted to suggest that SBC consider holding (perhaps in conjunction with Citizens for Clean Air and Water) a candidate forum in October at which important public policy positions relative to your mission might be explained from this years county commission candidates. There are a number of candidates, many of whom are advocating rethinking many policy positions.

I am personally running for chairman of the county commission and I would think that Pete Liakakis would welcome this kind of open and thoughtful discussion, I know I think it would be a good thing. I guess I’m volunteering to meet and discuss public policy issues that are important to your mission (whether Pete is in or not).

May I refer you to my blog site, http://www.johnmcmasters.com where I have posted several policy positions regarding bike paths and bike lanes? I think it will be useful for your appreciation that there are folks out there who believe in better public policy.

    Sincerely,

    John McMasters
