This year participants from all over will pledge to bike, walk, run or roll a certain amount of miles from October 1 to October 31. At the same time, participants will set personal and team fundraising goals to support Bike Walk Savannah’s crucial work in the Greater Savannah area.
Whether you are a casual cyclist or runner or an avid enthusiast, Moonlight Garden Rides is a great way to connect with the Savannah community. You can choose to fundraise and earn great perks for reaching your goals, or make a donation on behalf of yourself or a loved one.
All donations will go directly to support our mission of creating an equitable environment for biking and walking in Savannah. We do this through advocacy and policy work, education classes for children and adults, rides and walks to encourage people to make biking and walking a part of their daily lives, and our New Standard Cycles Program, which provides bikes for people in need.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]How to Participate
Pledge to ride, run, walk or roll a certain amount of miles between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31, 2020. Then go out, get people to sponsor your ride and spread the word about what you are doing and who you are riding for. Please follow your local social distance ordinances to stay safe. Helmets are encouraged when riding bikes.
Share Your Why. Post on your social network WHY you are participating. Are you participating in honor or memory of someone? Are you running, walking or riding to encourage others to live a healthy lifestyle? It’s powerful and encouraging – please share a picture, a post or a video using the hashtag #MGR2020
Share Your Progress. As October progresses, share your journey on social media! Post your fundraising goal and a link to your fundraising page, too. We also encourage participants to log their miles on their app of choice, and share their progress with us. Fundraisers will receive a link to submit their weekly mileage, and be entered to win cool prizes.
When you participate in the 2020 Moonlight Garden Rides, you help get Bike Walk Savannah one step closer to its fundraising goal of $25,000 to help promote an equitable environment for biking and walking in Savannah. Fundraising Levels
$35 – receive event t-shirt, featuring General Oglethorpe (available for pickup in November or shipping at additional cost)
$100 – receive custom event water bottle
$250 – receive custom BWS face mask
$500 – be entered to win a new bicycle!
$1,000 – receive invitation to join on small group rides during October
$2,500 – BWS merchandise prize pack, including “I Bike”, “I Walk”, “I Run” tshirts.
Prizes are cumulative. You will receive the prize levels at and up to your fundraising total.
