DESCRIPTION:2024 marks the 25th year of the Athens to Savannah Ride. Gravel cyclists roll out of Athens on Thursday\, October 17th for the 4-day ride to Savannah. Each day takes riders to a new destination on courses through rural Georgia. Gravel riders can expect amazing terrain – from the red clay of the hilly Piedmont region to the sandy soils of the Coastal Plain. Road cyclists can opt for the 3-day option\, departing Athens on October 18th and finishing in Savannah on October 20th. Choose from 4-day gravel\, 3-day road or single-day options. SUMMARY:Tide to Town | Bus Tour
DESCRIPTION:The City of Savannah invites residents to help shape the future of the Tide to Town urban trail project by attending one of several upcoming community engagement activities and adding their voice to an online survey. \nThe goal of the new public outreach initiative is to ensure the trail’s development results in economic\, social\, and recreational opportunities for the communities along the urban trail. Among the many activities planned will be several community meetings\, a free bus tour\, and a small group roundtable with businesses\, civic organizations\, and others. \nA public survey can be found at savannahga.gov/tidetotown. \nA free bus tour is scheduled for Saturday\, Oct. 19 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to take participants on a visit to the completed section of the trail along Truman Parkway and stop by a handful of proposed trail routes around the city.
