DESCRIPTION:Celebrate National Bike Month by participating in the Bike Walk Savannah “Bike There Challenge”! \nBiking every day has many health benefits — including increasing muscle strength\, mobility\, and decreasing stress — but also helps our environment. Many of our motor vehicle trips are under 2 miles\, and can easily be replaced by a short bike ride. Sign our pledge at https://bikewalksavannah.org/bike-there-challenge/ to commit to making at least one trip each day in May by bike. Whether you’re biking to work\, to school\, to the grocery store\, or around your neighborhood\, you’re making a difference! \nNeed some inspiration? Check out our Bike There Challenge BINGO card. DESCRIPTION:Cycle social is back! Join us each month for a casual\, family-friendly bike ride at a different spot in Savannah or Chatham County. \n\nThis month we’ll meet at 6 p.m. at Lake Mayer in front of the Community Center/Park Administrative Office and ride the Truman Linear Park Trail\, ending with a conversation about Tide To Town and the future of our urban trail system. \n\nLights and helmets required. Please bring your bike and water. Ride distance is approximately 7.5 miles.\nThe ride is free and open to the public\, but we encourage you to become a member of Bike Walk Savannah or make a donation to support our work at bikewalksavannah.org.
